Introducing the main speaker of MG2.8 – Luke Jurcevic arrived from Australia!
It is always a great pleasure for us to host a great friend and partner of MG2 – Luke Jurcevic, who arrives from Australia. Luke is a regular guest of Meeting G2, always with interesting topics and projects on which he works diligently connecting Australia and Croatia, opening paths for Croatian entrepreneurs to Australia, bringing together Croatia and Croatian diaspora, always ready to come and help.
Luke Jurcevic is the president of the Western Australian Croatian Chamber of Commerce (WACCC – https://croatiacommercewa.asn.au/) based in Perth – Joondalup, which was founded in April 2003 with the aim of promoting friendship, goodwill, trade, investment, economic cooperation between business communities and much more between Croatia and Australia. The Chamber provides excellent opportunities for networking through numerous official and informal activities.
In addition to numerous activities to connect Croatia with Australia, Luke also successfully runs the company Jurcevic Consulting and with his knowledge, expertise and experience helps various companies on their way to success.
Versatile and professional, it is no wonder that he found himself in our wine company, Luke is preparing a big event in the fall in Australia, that connects Croats outside of Croatia, wine, homeland and many other countries. But in order not to reveal too much, Luke Jurcevic will tell us what it is about tomorrow, live in Zagreb. We are looking forward to his speech!
Saša Muradori – Croatia Unpacked, Ontario – Follow your dreams
In 1995, Saša came to Canada. His roots always played a large role in his upbringing and ultimately shaped him into the man he is today.
“Wine plays a huge part in Croatia’s culture — like beer and whiskey does in Canada.”
Vintners are wine merchants that work on curating and distributing fine wines. They take the hard part out of selecting your next wine by helping to ensure that only the best are stocked on your local shelves. “In the beginning, I was told I was wasting my time. It would have been easy to give up, but I chose to keep pursuing my passion and believing in the products I chose to represent. It all started with a plan — how could I link small wineries from a little country many knew nothing about to a market that was filled with so many other options. From this plan grew a business, an opportunity to network, and one of my most prideful endeavours — next to being a father.
“I was shocked to learn that no one was working in this space because they thought it was hard or impossible. It would be hard, of course, but not impossible. I had to try. Knowing that you are trying to sell something that is good, honest and inspires people makes all the difference.
Saša’s story is inspiring. If we all stopped before we even started, the world would not be inspired by the amazing outsides that make it what it is. It teaches all working professionals the tenacity required to chase your dreams.
“Follow your dreams and take risks. Make lists and set realistic goals. Keep up the positive momentum, and don’t give up. Be ready for failure and have a plan ready on how to both deal and learn from it. And never, ever forget, that anything is possible if you work hard.”
