Antun Krešimir Buterin
Born in Zagreb in 1974, Antun Krešimir Buterin is an experienced Croatian journalist and editor with nearly 20 years of experience in journalism.
From 1996 to 2008 he worked in the Croatian political daily Vjesnik, where he passed all stages of journalism – city column journalist, proofreader and corrector, assistant to the editor of the Sunday edition, journalist, desk editor and editor of special editions.
Since 2008 he was the editor of Zaštita, the only Croatian security magazine, where he launched a number of new projects and professional conferences, and was also the author conceived the first national research on the safety of the Croatian cities, which he conducted for four years. In addition to his journalistic work and editing the magazine and web portal, he also worked as a marketing manager who successfully brought the world’s leading security companies as advertisers in the small Croatian magazine.
In 2014 he began working at the Congress Centre FORUM Zagreb as a Head of Marketing and Sales. In the spring of 2015 he was invited to join reputable international corporation Hikvision, the world’s biggest manufacturee of video surveillance cameras and security equipment. He began as a Business Development Manager for Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Malta, but after 2 years he was appointed as a Marketing Manager for Adriatic and Malta, which is his position for the last 3 years. So far he is the only Croatian working in this Chinese technology giant with over 40.000 employees.
Since 2006 he is dedicated to humanitarian work, participating in the establishment of the Ana Rukavina Foundation, where he is an active member of the Executive Committee from the beginning, and more recently the Board of Directors.
He actively participated in the creation of every Meeting G2 Conference from the very beginning (2015-2019). This year he also became a president of the Meeting G2 Association.
