A panel on the current affairs in the Croatian IT industry
All participants of the Meeting G2.5 will be able to follow five very interesting panel discussions. This time we are announcing a talk that aims to connect diaspora companies with the best Croatian IT service providers.
Overall, in the past 2018, the ICT industry in Croatia recorded a 4.95 percent revenue growth, or HRK 33.38 billion. The software industry accounted for the largest growth, at 14.74 percent, reaching HRK 12.8 billion in revenue, while the computer segment recorded an increase of 8.89 percent and generated HRK 5.1 billion in revenue. Although the telecommunications segment recorded a 3.37 percent drop in revenue, or HRK 15.03 billion, in 2018, it still posted the highest pre-tax profit (EBITDA) growth of 14.53 percent and amounted to HRK 4.44 billion.
Given these data, the question arises as to what we can do to make Croatian IT companies more successful globally. In addition, what are the dominant areas in which these companies provide excellence and what are the current conditions for their international development and expansion? Do we have real capabilities in Croatia to work in a global environment? What is behind the mergers and acquisitions of domestic companies by foreign companies?
Željko Skorić (HR PRO), Tomislav Ivančević (Tomsoft), Katherine Kurelja (Outside Agency), Ivan Klarić (Axilis) and Jurica Mikulic (Ingemark) will answer these and other interesting questions considering the current state of the IT industry in Croatia. They will offer their answers and opinions..
The panel will be moderated by Aco Momcilovic (FutureHR).
