NEW IN THE PROGRAM: A Moment for Inspiration – The Story of the Award-Winning Croatian Gin

We’ve got some more news. Entitled “A Moment for Inspiration,” we will introduce a few short, inspirational business stories that you’ll be able to follow between panels throughout on the second day of the program. We have foreseen a few, the first to be announced are Hrvoje Busic and Tomislav Anadolac who will perform on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. The duo Hrvoje Bušić and Tomislav Anadolac met about twenty years ago. Former military pilots, lovers of quality drinks, decided to produce gin in the Rudeš neighborhood of Zagreb happy to drink it for themselves, but also for all the other lovers of this drink. The “Spirit in a Bottle” distillery was founded only after a thorough study and elaboration of the process that included the acquisition of knowledge abroad and Croatia. That’s how Hrvoje Bušić has earned the status of Preferred Certified Distiller in the Netherlands.
Old Pilot’s Gin is made using special distillation technology and is made exclusively of Croatian plants – blueberries come from Otočac, oranges from Croatian islands and from Neretva, angels from Bjelovar, sage from Velebit, lavender from the Croatian islands and the Samobor Highlands while the olive leaf is harvested at the foot of Biokovo. Since the whole process is done manually, each bottle is unique.
The quality of the products, their knowledge and their efforts have received many certifications. This year they won gold medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition, the prestigious American annual distillation contest, while in 2018 Old Pilot’s Gin was named best Croatian “craft” gin.
