Find out what’s behind the multiple increase in trade between Canada and Croatia
WE PRESENT THE CROATIAN CHAMBERS ABROAD
At Meeting G2.5. – Building business bridges, we are expecting a panel about success in business connections between Canada and Croatia. On that occasion, the panel will introduced Canadian-Croatian Business Network (CCBN).
The president of the network, as well as one of the participants in the announced panel, is Joe Bašić, to the Croatian public mostly known as the originator of the Ultra Europe Festival in Split and the owner of MPG, one of the the largest marketing agencies in Croatia.
It is less known that Mr Bašić is very active in business bodies such as CCBN, so we asked him to briefly introduce that business network and announce topics to be discussed at panel.
When was the Canadian-Croatian Business Network established and what is the mission of this body?
From 2010 to 2019, trade between Canada and Croatia increased more than five times. Investment growth is reported and we expect major investments in Croatia, from Canada, in the next year.
What are the main activities of the network and what would you single out as a major achievement of the latter year?
I would say CCBN presents new economic opportunities between Canada and Croatia. Both Canada and Croatia can profit from this exchange of ideas and aspirations to create initiatives that can lead to change. CCBN provides the necessary framework for formalization and support for initiatives that will improve relationships, which as such will create additional interest, will lead to investments and / or trade between Canada and Croatia. Furthermore, CCBN is a network made up of experienced professionals who can provide support, recommendations and insight on how assist in the initial stages of development of businesses or individuals from either of these two countries, who want to start a business.
CCBN members are reputable and successful business people, professionals and entrepreneurs who live and work in Croatia and have direct experience from Canada. That experience allows them to have true understanding of the obstacles that may arise, and also provides the expertise and knowledge to overcome these barriers to achieve success.
